North Shore Golf Course

Tacoma, Washington

The Pro Shop and Driving Range at North Shore Golf Course is the first phase of a multi-phase development design that includes the Pro Shop, Cart Storage area, Driving Range canopy structure and a new 15,000 sf Clubhouse.

This project utilized renewable wood materials and significant architectural exposed wood detailing. A central elevated roof section over a glass-enclosed spine provides a strong sense of arrival and divides the two wings of the clubhouse, with a restaurant to the west and ballrooms, offices, lower story cart storage, and Pro Shop to the east.

Structural detailing throughout the campus accommodates continuous occupancy of the existing clubhouse during Phase 1 and part of Phase 2, construction access during new Clubhouse construction, and future connections for the final condition.
