About Brienen Structural Engineers

Brienen Structural Engineers was founded in Kent, Washington by Paul Brienen in early 2014. The ownership expanded in 2017 with Sara Imbruglio and again in 2021 with Brianna Schildmeyer. This leadership core has over sixty years of combined experience on projects in the Puget Sound region. Our roots are deep in the Pacific Northwest.

Our team of engineers work on a wide variety of project types, with owners, architects, and contractors. We are proud to be a Certified Women Business Enterprise (WBE) firm in Washington.

We seek structural engineering projects of all types and sizes -  everything from retaining walls to high rises in the heart of downtown Seattle.

We also have engineers licensed for out of state projects in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana.
